Is this Schengen calculator free?
Yes. The web calculator is free with no sign-up. The app is free to download, and an optional Pro upgrade adds alerts, PDF export and unlimited trips.
Is it accurate?
It uses the same rolling 180-day method the EU uses: entry and exit days both count, and overlapping trips are only counted once. Treat it as a planning tool. Border officials have the final say.
Do entry and exit days count?
Yes. Both count as full days in Schengen.
Which countries are in the Schengen Area?
29 countries: 25 EU members plus Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway and Switzerland. Ireland and Cyprus are EU members but not in Schengen.
Does leaving Schengen reset my 90 days?
No. Days only drop off once they're more than 180 days old.
What happens if I overstay?
It depends on the country. You could face a fine, removal, an entry ban, or problems getting visas later. Don't count on officials being lenient.
Is my travel data stored?
The web calculator runs entirely in your browser. Nothing is sent or saved. In the app, your trips stay on your device.
Does the 90/180 rule apply to me?
It applies to short stays by non-EU visitors, whether they need a visa or not. If you have an EU passport, a residence permit or a long-stay visa for a Schengen country, different rules apply.
Does ETIAS change the 90/180 rule?
No. ETIAS is a travel authorisation for visitors who don't need a visa. It doesn't change how long you can stay: the limit is still 90 days in any 180-day period, and the EES records your entries and exits to check it.
